A rise to the line that is remarkable
Taking up the torch of its predecessor, the Galaxy J3 (2016), the 2017 version of Samsung's mid-range smartphone adopts several improvements, notably in photo-video sensors and memory. We remain on a metal and glass 2.5D design integrating an HD screen with a diagonal of 5 in Super AMOLED backlight.
The SoC Exynos 7570 Octa (four cores Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.4 GHz) was adopted by the Korean manufacturer in place of the Qualcomm on the 2016 version and is backed by an ARM Mali-T720 GPU. At the level of connectivity, one finds the usual ones: compatibility 4G LTE category 4, WiFi n, Bluetooth 4.2, FM radio, NFC and GPS (GLONASS, COMPASS).
RAM now rises to 2 GB and internal memory to 16 GB, as its big brother the J5 (2017), while the previous version only had 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. The internal memory is expandable via microSDXC card (up to an additional 256 GB).
Photo sensors of 13 + 5 megapixels
The Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) ships a 13 megapixel photo sensor in the rear against 8 megapixels on the J3 (2016) while retaining autofocus and LED flash. The module is capable of recording videos in Full HD 1080p. At the front, the 5-megapixel photo sensor with an opening at f /2.2 is identical to the previous version.
The 2400 mAh battery ensures a day of operation in normal use, and even more with the Ultra Power Saving mode. The Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) is powered by Android 7.0 Nougat with the Samsung Experience 8.1 software interface. All this small world sits in the 148 grams of the mobile.
