Check out the winners of the Siena International Photo Awards 2017

For a few years now, the Siena International Photo Awards have brought together clichés from around the world. Once again this year, this prestigious competition received a whopping 50,000 photos taken by photographers from 161 different nationalities, both professional and amateur. As the winners ceremony has just ended, we have decided to show you the winners of this 2017 vintage.

Created by the Art Photo Travel Association, which aims to promote art, culture, monuments and traditions from around the world through cultural initiatives, this contest aims to bring together photographers from around the world to celebrate the beauty and diversity of the world around us. A remarkable initiative that delivers, year after year, photographs of great beauty. This year, SIPA participants were able to submit their photographs in many categories with evocative titles: Fragile Ice, Architecture & Urban Spaces, The beauty of the Nature or Fascinating Faces and Characters.

The big winner of this 2017 edition, which you can discover the cliché at the beginning of this news, is the American photographer Randy Olson. Named Sand Hill Cranes, this photograph was taken in Wood River, Nebraska, and shows us a crane flight from Canada on a stormy background. A cliché composition and striking beauty, which also allows its author to highlight the degradation of the ecology of our planet, the areas able to accommodate the migration of its birds is shrinking as the skies over the years .
