Samsung Free Prize Draw

Terms and Conditions for 90 minute prize draws (the “Promotion”)


  1. This Promotion is open to UK residents aged 16 or over only.
  2. Employees or agents of the Promoter or any of its group companies or their families or households or anyone professionally connected to this Promotion are not eligible to enter.
  3. No purchase is necessary to enter. Free entry is available by posting a hard copy entry marked for the attention of Massimo Gilbilaro at Samsung UK HQ, 1000 Hillswood Drive, Chertsey, Surrey KT16 0PS. Hard copy entries should cover all information provided via the web entry process except for product related information. Hard copy entries will be entered into a 90 minute draw designated by the Promoter. 
  4. The Promoter is operating a series of prize draws from the opening date of the Promotion through to the planned end of the Promotion. Each individual prize draw within this promotion period has a duration of 90 minutes such that only persons who have entered that draw within that 90 minute period may win the prizes for that draw. Prize draws may be entered at 90 minute intervals between the hours of 9.00am and ending at 6.00pm on UK working days.
  5. During the period of the Promotion, you can only enter a single 90 minute prize draw and we reserve the right to disqualify multiple entries.
  6. To enter this Promotion you must complete in full the entry form at www.samsung-europe.com/special/seuk/home.html and submit it so that it is received before the end of the 90 minute duration of that draw (see paragraph 3 above for the hard copy route).
  7. Within each 90 minute prize draw, 4 draws will be made for 4 different prizes. A maximum of one prize per draw is permitted under any 90 minute prize draw (so that an entrant could win all 4 prizes in a particular 90 minute prize draw).
  8. Each winner of a 90 minute prize draw will be determined at random out of the entries received within the 90 minute duration of the relevant prize draw.
  9. The 90 minute prize draws will be supervised by an independent person. All 90 minute prize draws are planned to take place on 31st July but this date may be extended at the Promoter’s discretion.
  10. The 4 winners within each 90 minute prize draw will each receive any one of the following prizes:

    addidas backpack (56)
  11. The winners will be notified in writing or by email or telephone within 30 days of the relevant 90 minute prize draw.
  12. The winners must confirm receipt of notification of winning within 7 days of the notification (and will be asked to either confirm their UK address as given on their entry form or to provide an alternative UK address for delivery of their prize).
  13. If a winner does not respond as described in paragraph 12 above, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify them and determine another randomly selected winner out of the other entrants eligible.
  14. Prizes will be sent by post to the UK address given by the winner. Please allow 30 days for delivery.
  15. There is no cash alternative to the prizes.  In the event that all or part of a prize is unavailable then the Promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equivalent value.  The prizes are non-transferable.
  16. Entries must not be made through agents or third parties. The name and towns of residence of the winners will be published at www.samsung-europe.com/special/seuk/home.html between the date of the results and approximately 30 days thereafter. The winners may be required to take part in publicity and, by entering the Promotion, consent to such publicity.  
  17. The Promoter shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid claims including, without limitation, to require further verification as to the identity, age, and other relevant details of an entrant.
  18. The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter shall not enter into any correspondence about the results. Any appeal against the Promoter’s decision is of no effect.
  19. The Promoter shall not be responsible for lost, misdirected, illegible, late, mutilated or altered entries.
  20. The Promoter shall not be liable for any interruption to this Promotion whether due to force majeure or other factors beyond the Promoter’s control.
  21. The Promoter reserves the right, acting reasonably and in accordance with all relevant legislation and codes of practice, to vary the terms and conditions of this Promotion.
  22. The Promoter reserves the right at its absolute discretion to disqualify entries which it considers do not comply with these terms and conditions or any entrant who it reasonably believes has interfered with the fair running of this Promotion and/or the results thereof.
  23. By entering into this Promotion, entrants accept that their personal data will be processed by the Promoter, the controller of their personal data. Each entrant’s personal data will be stored, processed and used, only according to the preferences stated on the entrant’s entry form, by the Promoter and its carefully selected third parties.  The Promoter may use such data to make entrants aware of Samsung products and services either directly or through its marketing partners and all entrants agree to this. Personal data held by the Promoter will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at http://www.samsung.com/uk/privacy.htm.
  24. By entering this Promotion you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  25. This Promotion is governed by English law.
  26. Instructions form part of these terms and conditions.
